Ingredients we use

The ingredients listed alphabetically on this page are what we use across the spectrum of our products. For the ingredients in a specific product, please read the label where the ingredients may change and are listed in order of their volume. 

Aloe Vera infused oil

Made by steeping Aloe Vera inner leaf in certified organic soybean oil extracting only the oils soluble components of the Aloe leaf. This unique product allows for the well-known healing properties of Aloe. It is a good emollient and excellent moisturizing agent.

Beeswax

Cera flava (beeswax) is a wonder ingredient in skin care. It attracts moisture which helps keeps the skin soft and supple. It forms a protective barrier so decreasing water loss while allowing the skin to breath and is excellent in cold and hot weather. It soothes dry skin and has known anti-inflammatory properties.

 Coconut Oil

Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil has been called the darling of the natural world, high in essential fatty acids so making it highly moisturising, softening and replenishing. A remarkable healing oil with its great anti-bacterial anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Cocoa Butter

Theobroma cacao (Cocoa Butter) is a naturally occurring butter and comes from the cocoa bean. It smells like the chocolate it is used to make but it is also one of nature’s richest moisturisers. It boosts the elasticity of the skin while it hydrates and soothes. It has a high content of Vitamin E which helps soften and smooth the skin and its antioxidant properties helps fight off free radicals which can cause signs of aging.

Cetearyl olivate & sorbitan olivate (emulsifier O)

A natural moisturising emulsifier made from olives used to combine oil and water. It is highly moisturizing and is effective to the deeper layers of the skin.

Evening Primrose Oil

Oenothera biennis (evening primrose) oil has strong skin cell regeneration, anti-wrinkle, softening & smoothing qualities & because it is rich in GLA (an omega 6 fatty acid) it helps skin retain moisture.

Frankincense

Boswellia carterii (frankincense)pure therapeutic essential oil.  Frankincense has been used for thousands of years in many religions. It helps rejuvenate skin especially good for mature skin, It cleanses, tightens and tones the skin and promotes healthy skin growth.

Dehydroacetic acid & Benzyl alcohol (Geogard 221)

An Ecocert approved, multi-use, broad spectrum preservative system that is a synergistic blend of an organic acid and alcohol that can be added at room and elevated temperatures.. The organic preservative compound is a non-paraben, non-formaldehyde, non isothiazolone based preservative system.

Geranium

Pelargonium graveolens (Geranium) pure therapeutic essential oil promotes healing and normalises skin imbalances. It balances sebum production & secretion, cleanse the skin, cleans the pores, kills bacteria, tightens and tones, boosts healing and promotes healthy skin growth.

Glycerine

Glycerine (vegetable) is a humectant so attracts water from the air and absorbs it within the skin cells so increasing hydration

Hemp Seed Oil

Cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil is suitable for all skin types especially sensitive, oily and acne prone and aging skin. It is rich in vitamins, anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids and aids the absorption of vitamin D. It has been found to have powerful regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties so excellent in skin care

Jojoba Oil

Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba)oil is suitable for skin types and especially useful for mature, dry and oily skin. It balances, softens, and sooths and leaves the skin silky and smooth. It improves elasticity and suppleness, has anti-oxidant and astringent qualities.

 Lavender

Lavandula angustifolia (lavender) pure therapeutic essential oil promotes healthy skin growth, stimulates skin cell regeneration, soothes irritation and inflammation. Good for all skin types.

 Marula Seed oil

Sclerocarya birrea(marula)oil has been a skincare cure-all for the Ovambo women in northern Namibia for centuries and has amazingly 60 percent more antioxidants than other oils. It is also rich in vitamins and fatty acids, and it is absorbed deeper and more easily into your skin than other oils. Great for acne prone, blemished and mature skin.

Neroli

(Citrus aurantium) Neroli 100% natural cosmetic grade essential oil has a sweet, honey, floral fragrance and is highly prized in the perfume industry. The therapeutic essential oil is very expensive, so we have used the cosmetic version to enjoy.

Patchouli

Pogostemon cablin (Patchouli) pure therapeutic essential oil is used widely in hand and foot formulations as it hydrates, moisturises and heals chapped or broken skin. It works as antiseptic and helps reduce inflammation.

Palmarosa

Palmarosa

Cymbopogon martini (Palmarosa) pure therapeutic essential oil is valuable to all skin types especially oily/acne prone, sensitive, combination and aging skin. It is hydrating and stimulating, helps to balance sebum production and stimulates skin cell regeneration.

Rosehip oil

Rosa rubiginosa (rosehip) oil is the only vegetable to naturally contain Vitamin A which helps to repair damaged skin & scars, alleviates acne and reduces wrinkles.  It’s a brilliant source of essential fatty acids which helps with skin regeneration, repair and healing.

Shea Butter

Butyrospermum parkii (shea Butter) is super moisturising and stimulates collagen production contains vast amounts of the anti-oxidant Vitamin E, helping to soften the skin.

Sweet Almond oil

Prunus dulcis (almond) oil is moisturising and hydrating. It is good for all skin types and is best known for its ability to soften, soothe and nourish the skin. It is rich in proteins and high vitamin D so great for dry skin and as a good source of vitamin E provides antioxidant qualities.

 Vanilla

Vanilla planifolia (vanilla)100% natural cosmetic grade essential oil.
